Dr. Robert Giffin

Research Areas

Arthroscopic treatment of athletic injuries, especially ligament and cartilage disorders of the knee and shoulder

Dr. Giffin is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, University of Western Ontario. Prior to entering medical school at Dalhousie University, Dr Giffin had considerable experience in the rehabilitation of sports related injuries as a physiotherapist. He completed his orthopaedic residency at the University of Western Ontario before completing two-year fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh, Center for Sports Medicine. His experience in Pittsburgh included the care of the Steelers and Penguins as well as the athletes at Pitt and Robert Morris College. Dr Giffin specializes in the arthroscopic treatment of athletic injuries, especially ligament and cartilage disorders of the knee and shoulder.
