Gillies - 2017 NSERC EWR Steacie Awardee

Dr. Elizabeth Gillies, member of the Bone and Joint Institute and its Operating Committee, was awarded NSERC's 2017 EWR Steacie Memorial Fellowship along with 6 collegues from across Canada.  These Fellowships are intended to enhance the career trajectory of Canadian faculty members identifed as outstanding and highly promising in their areas.

Dr. Gillies, a professor in the Department of Chemistry at Western studies the use of polymers to deliver pharmaceuticals to patients in a specific fashion rather than relyng on traditional pharmacuetical absorption methods of deilvery.  Further details about Dr. Gillies and her work can be found at the following locations.
