Annual catalyst (seed) funding competitions are a priority for the Institute and Cluster to encourage new transdisciplinary research initiatives. Up to $160,000 is awarded each year and enable members to initiate innovative, high-impact, and early-stage projects.
Projects funded by this program are at an early-stage making it difficult to obtain external funding. Through collaboration among different disciplines, applicants can further their research and development to increase the potential to leverage external funds. Projects must be transdisciplinary, relevant to musculoskeletal health and must demonstrate potential for high impact, for example: transformative scientific advances;improved health and/or quality of life; clinical applications and/or policy development; and/or commercialization.
You must be a member of the Bone and Joint Institute to gain access to the application online. For details, please contact email@example.com or 519-661-2111 x34567.
