Joint & Bone Initiative

People

The Bone & Joint researchers at Western represent a transdisciplinary group across campus and beyond.  Researchers and Trainees hold positions across many departments in six different faculties/schools including; The Faculties of Health Science, Science, Engineering and Social Science, The Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, The Richard Ivey School of Business.  Members of our Institute also include Clinicians and Surgeons across the London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph's Hospital.  Individual bios provide specific research foci and publication information.

Western's Bone and Joint Institute is a constantly growing community.  Researchers will be added to this site as they join our initiative.

Expectations and benefits of membership are defined in the Criteria and Membership Benefits Document.

At this initial stage, we require participants to self-identify as Institute members by:
1) reviewing the membership criteria, and
2) if you meet these criteria, registering for membership by completing the membership form.

Trainees and staff are eligible for membership in the BJI, if they:
1) work under the supervision of a BJI faculty member,
2) are conducting research relevant to bone and joint/musculoskeletal health, and
3) meet the expectations outlined in the attached document.
Please encourage eligible trainees and staff to visit the Bone & Joint web site to complete the membership form online as well.

We look forward to working with members of the Institute to promote transdisciplinary research and innovation in MSK health, and to make Western an internationally recognized leader in this area.
