My research focus includes the tribology of total joint replacements, including their design and performance. This includes in-vitro wear testing of orthopaedic implants, the in-silico modelling of such devices using finite element analysis, as well as the improvement of their design, with special interest in the contact mechanics of the articulations of these devices, as well as their interaction with surrounding bone.
