Dr. Kristin Clemens is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine and Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Western University, an Adjunct ICES Scientist, and an Associate Scientist at Lawson Health Research Institute. She practices as a general endocrinologist at St. Joseph’s Hospital, and is current Medical Director of the Osteoporosis and Metabolic Bone Disease Program.
Dr. Clemens is an active health services and disparities researcher, and has experience with observational studies surveys, qualitative methodology, patient-oriented research, randomized controlled trials and quality improvement initiatives. Her osteoporosis research interest is in care and outcomes of those living with osteoporosis and chronic kidney disease, and she is leading a multicentered randomized controlled trial of drug therapy in this patient population. Dr. Clemens’ research has been funded by organizations including the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the Kidney Foundation of Canada, and Diabetes Canada.
