Associate Professor (BJI Director)
Dr. Matthew Teeter leads a research program that is enhancing patient mobility and quality of life after joint replacement through the development and application of medical imaging and digital technologies. He is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Medical Biophysics, Medical Imaging, and Surgery in the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, and is a Scientist at Robarts Research Institute and Lawson Health Research Institute.
Outside of Western, Dr. Teeter serves on the Boards of the International Society for Technology in Arthroplasty (Past President), Canadian Orthopaedic Research Society (Member), and Canadian RSA Network (Vice-President). His has received multiple awards in recognition of his research accomplishments, including a CIHR New Investigator Award, Ontario Early Researcher Award, the Polanyi Prize in Physiology/Medicine, Coventry Award from the Knee Society, Neer Award from the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons, and an Early Career Researcher Award from the Arthritis Alliance of Canada.
