Dr. Ryan Willing is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at Western University, and a Biomedical Engineering faculty member. Prior to joining Western University, Dr. Willing was an Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering at the State University of New York at Binghamton.

Dr. Willing has been involved in biomechanical engineering research for more than 10 years, with a special focus on human joint biomechanics and implant design. His research employs a combination of state of the art computer modelling and experimental analysis. He is associated with the Lawson Health Research Institute, and a member of Western’s Bone and Joint Institute. He is also a member of the Canadian and American Societies for Mechanical Engineering (CSME, ASME) and Orthopaedic Research (CORS and ORS).
