Catalyst Grants Program
Our Catalyst Grants spark high-impact interdisciplinary research and empower our members to take an idea and develop it further.
The BJI Catalyst Grant competition is designed to support interdisciplinary early-stage projects by awarding members up to $30,000 per award in seed funding. The purpose of Catalyst Grants is to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and help members to advance their work and increase the potential for external funding.
To be eligible, projects must:
- be interdisciplinary
- be relevant to musculoskeletal health
- demonstrate potential for high impact
$413,356
in catalyst funding has suppported 17 projects from 2015 to 2017
$6.8 million
have been secured by recipients in other funding attributed directly to research initiated by a Catalyst Grant
