Catalyst Grants Program

Our Catalyst Grants have sparked high-impact interdisciplinary research and empowered our members to take an idea and develop it further.

The BJI Catalyst Grant competition is designed to support interdisciplinary early-stage projects by awarding members seed funding to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and help members advance their work and increase the potential for external funding.

To be eligible, projects must:

  • be interdisciplinary
  • be relevant to musculoskeletal health
  • demonstrate potential for high impact

$413,356 and $8 M ROI

Catalyst funding supported 17 projects from 2015 to 2017 and has seen over $8M secured by recipients in other funding attributed directly to research initiated by a Catalyst Grant
